The shoulder joint is your body's most mobile joint. It can turn in many directions, but this advantage also makes your shoulder joint easy to dislocate. A partial dislocation (subluxation) means the head of the upper arm bone (humerus) is partially out of the socket (glenoid). A complete dislocation means it's all the way out. Both partial and complete dislocation cause pain and unsteadiness in your shoulder. Your muscles may have spasms from the disruption, and this can make it hurt more. When your shoulder dislocates time and again, you have shoulder instability.
I guess i have shoulder instability..hehe...sucks!!! Last year my shoulder had gotten dislocated at least 7 times. Saturday 24th of February was the first time for this new year and believe me it hurt like a mofo. I guess I kinda use to the pain so I kind of handled it much better was able to get up easier than usual. At least this time I didn't have to wait over 3 hours until the chiropractor placed my shoulder back in place.
Funny thing is we were late for the wedding of one of my buddy and I was suppose to be the photographer. But I had made a commitment so after my shoulder had been placed back into position I got a short massage then we were off to the wedding.
Just wanted to share a little ordeal that had occurred with me over the weekend. This was the hype of the weekend..hehe...with some terrible pain though..you all should try it..pretty cool when you trying to touch your shoulder bone or the socket area and it ain't there...lol..

Serious! my brother has an instable shoulder. It started when he was years ago, when he was a young teenage wrestling with a buddy. I never had any formal training but I am a gifted massage person and I learned how to relocate shoulders on him and deal with the pain.
You should take three supplements to help your connective tissues replenish. Calicum, gulcusminia/gulcusmine sulfate (if they are spelt correct) and codliver oil (I can't remember the name of the good stuff in it). Also, a good massage might held to prevent it dislocating again. Remember I am not a professional, but I have seen that work not only on my bro. I dislocated a bone in my foot once while playing ball barefooted (tel yu bout dem eyrs haad pikni). The doctor expected me to be partially crippled because once those bones go out they never completely go in, but and an alterntive medicine doctor lady told me about all of that (I used to work for her) and I have never had problems again.
Hey beth, well thanks for the advice. Thought i was the only one who was weird...hehehe..just kidding...well the pain is manageable most of the time, but at times its just too much. If it weren't for my wife i don't know how i would have managed. She's been asking for her to learn how to relocate but for some strange reason i would prefer a qualified person..maybe she might want to get even at me and make me suffer more...lol..just kidding..don't think she'd do that...but i will look into those supplements you talking about...I guess now I'll go for the therapy...kinda tired of having to go through these pain.
playing ball barefeet..thats a good one..must say you're better than me.i can hardly walk outside barefeet..hehe...that must have hurt like a ..... I myself would always sprain my ankle..once it worse than usual and i broke off piece of the ankle bone..and i was suppose to take surgery to take out the little piece..but still haven't done so..still hasn't kept me from playing sports..lol...
